New House on the Block

This is an old German CooCoo Clock that I picked up at a yard sale for $1.00. It had fallen apart, so I brought it home, nailed and glued the bird, and leaves all back on, took out the insides and pulled off the number dial plate from the front. TAH DAH it's now a bird house! Home Sweet Home

Tricia Soriano plays Yente, The Matchmaker. Her makeup  is so good I didn't even recognize her! Turns out she is a writer also.
Dessa Harvey plays The Fiddler. She actually plays the violin in the play. Here for the summer from Iowa to play this role. Dessa is attending Iowa State, and is involved in many different orchestra's. She is so sweet! The costume that she wears is so bright and colourful.

Fiddler On The Roof

My son who also performs a bottle dance in the play. They use real bottles and they are NOT attached in any way to their heads. He has practiced long and hard. His poor knees have been bruised so bad from all the practicing. During the play, one of the dances he actually JUMPS onto a table and dances too. His thighs have sure gotten bigger during this play. Can you tell I'm a proud momma.
More cast members getting ready to go on stage. Tevye played by Mark Banton. Mark is 6'9 he towers over everyone. When we invited him and his wife over for dinner one night.  (I had never met him before) he had to bend to get through the door! He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. That is his own beard too. He looks just like Santa Claus!!! He might well be him, who knows?

One of my favorite stores

This has to be, one of the greatest stores to visit. It's called "Keepsakes." The owner painted her pink bathroom herself. She has the nicest  things to buy, plus she also has a little coffee shop inside. Sometimes I wish, I had a home that looked like her shop.
The poodle here has actual pink pom poms on it!

This chair she bought from Macy's department store. I have been a good girl so I got to sit this chair!

Proud of My Men!

How proud I am of my father who served our country during WWII. My husband served in the Persian Gulf War, as a Hebrew linguist. He graduated with honors and was immediately sent to the NSA (National Security Agency.)

Darren received a Joint Service Achievement Medal for something he did. But, he can't tell me or "He'd have to kill me." LOL. Seriously, I have never found out what he did to get this medal, because it is "TOP SECRET" funny huh.

We still had a big party for him in his honor. I de-
cided to make a wall hanging quilt for him to place
this medal on. So if you look close to the quilt you
will actually see that I cut up some of his uniforms
and used that material for parts of the quilt. The stars
running along the bottom are the different scraps of uni-
forms. He was totally surprised by the
party and quilt. I love my sweet husband of 22 yrs.
And so proud to be his wife. (My husband is the one
on the left.)

An exhilarating off-road quad bike expedition over one of New Zealand’s most rugged coastal environments.

Best Excursion Ever   This truly was a highlight of our many adventures in traveling the world. We had the opportunity to go on a six hour ...
